Active Seal for zero leakage
ITT Water & Wastewater is introducing Active Seals for a wide range of Flygt pumps and mixers.
The Active Seal is a zero leakage seal for the inner position, allowing no liquid to penetrate from the buffer fluid compartment to the stator housing of the pump or mixer. In practice the Active Seal acts a micro-pump, pumping media from the drive-unit side to the buffer fluid side of the inner seal. The pumping action is achieved by laser cut grooves in the rotating seal face.
The Active Seal function, which is ideal for pumps and mixers in continuous duty, is now implemented to a wide range of Flygt Products. Active Seals fully replace the old inner seals and are available as spare parts and in kits.
