Installing a Safe-Hatch access cover couldn’t be easier!
Flygt access covers with Safe-Hatch are the easy, engineered answer to protect working personnel. Now, every new Flygt access cover is available with this important safeguard built-in. It makes no difference if it’s a new or retrofit Flygt application. In retrofit situations, the “TM” top mounted style access cover with Safe-Hatch can be directly bolted to the existing structure after removing the old cover and hinges. In fact, in most retrofits, they can be attached easily to the existing structure without disturbing guide bars and other fittings. The secret is in the design, with all parts, including opening assist devices, attached directly to the frame itself. The only thing required is to mount it to a secure, firm base.
After installation, you can count on many years of trouble-free service, backed up with a ten year warranty. Critical parts are stainless steel including the heavy-duty hinges.

AII Safe-Hatch doors are engineered and manufactured to be opened easily and safely, requiring less than 13.6 kg (30 lb) effort to open. We even thought of safety features such as positioning the pull-open safety arm so that if a worker should lose balance, the grate will act as a barrier, preventing injury. The safety grate is painted bright orange to further promote hazard awareness.
