Project and Service Engineer - Pointe-Claire, QC





We are presently looking for a qualified individual to fill the position of Project/Service Engineer based at the Head Office, Pointe-Claire, QC.

Reporting to the Manager, Technical & Service, the major challenges are:

 
Support customer projects from Sales Locations and solving after market issues.
 
Design pump accessories, mixers, etc., following customer’s specification and existing standards.
 
Supply conception expertise in regards to finding proper solutions for problems
 
Assist in the part numbering system, i.e. see that all parts are properly selected, documented and improved.
 
Make sure that technical information of the product in catalogue or intranet/internet is accurate, complete and practical to the end users.
 
Provide internal after sales support on mechanical issues in Head Office and in Sales Locations across Canada.
 
Train both service personnel and customer’s maintenance and operator personnel in pump technology and maintenance.
 
Maintain documentation of explosion and flameproof products and ensure compliance of our certified CSA sales location to the CSA standards established.
 
Value Based Lean Six Sigma (VBLSS) is an integral part of our Company culture. The incumbent will play an important role for the continuous process improvement by using VBLSS tools and resources.
 
Any other work delegated by the supervisor.

You have 3 to 5 years of successful experience of mechanical contracting & structural desing with knowledge of code (ANSI, ASTM, etc), fabrication processes, tolerances system and material characteristics of the pump industry. Furthermore, you have earned an engineering bachelor degree in mechanical field and are able to use Auto-CAD. A practical logic imagination is serving you in designing a way out of a mechanical problem. You also must be able to work independently with minimum supervision but also be a team player. Finally, being a certified Green Belt is an asset.
